This is the first piece in the body of work I'm calling Geometrism. It's about the intersection between geometry and mysticism. The platonic solids have deep roots in mystical beliefs, as does all mathematics and every cultures early discoveries regarding polyhedra. On my personal journey, I look forward to re-discovering these associations. I feel that in our current school curricula, mathematics is taught in a cold, sterile way, and that if slightly more emphasis were placed on early man's reverence for these studies, new doorways could open for students who do not relate to the soulless, clinical approach.
